We stand with ukraine

Insure the real. Protect the ideal.

Insurers treat the world as replaceable, everything has a price. When “bad things” happen, a payout fixes it.

What’s worth a lot to you is usually priceless. Your dad’s old records. Your wedding photos. Even that Lego Millennium Falcon you put your heart and soul into. They add up to what makes you, you.

Of course we’ll still pay your claim (and quickly!) to help you with repairs or replacements. But wouldn’t it be better if you never had to claim in the first place?

It’s time we change the odds rather than leave our life’s worth to chance.

We empower our members to use tech to danger-proof the everyday, giving them insurance for things worth money, and assurance for things worth way more.

Let’s face it, we’re an anomaly. We actively change the risk of harm, rather than price for it.

Partly because it can be done, but mostly because we believe it should be done.

“Did you know the first home insurers owned and operated the first professional fire brigades? They would literally come to your house and put the fire out. Now imagine that with cutting-edge smart technology.”

CEO, Krystian Zajac

Our team

Meet the genuine, carbon-based humans that make Locket great.

Krystian
Krystian
CEO & Co-Founder

Krystian started his ventures from his dining room table, assisted by his then 5-year-old son, Kamil. He eventually went on to co-found award-winning insurtech, Neos. Arriving from Poland at the young age of 24, Krystian started his career in the UK as a dishwasher at LaGaffe (www.lagaffe.co.uk). This is probably the reason why the thing he finds most relaxing is… washing dishes.

Rob
Rob
Chief Marketing Officer

Rob participated in our Insiders programme in October 2020 and liked it so much that he decided to hang around! He’s a performance marketeer that looks after our data-driven marketing initiatives, leading on paid acquisition and SEO. Outside of work, he’s a jazz musician, cyclist, runner and gamer.

Andrii
Andrii
Chief Technology Officer

Known as Neo at work, Andrii is Locket’s ‘chosen one’, controlling our version of the Matrix – Locket’s app. Sure, he’s a better-looking version of Keanu Reeves, but he’s also got more skills. As our Head of Software and System Architect, Andrii doesn’t need gelled back hair and a leather trench coat to be impressive.

Wiktoria
Wiktoria
Graphic Designer

Wiktoria is always on hand to make the impossible – possible. Of course, she also makes this look really easy and does it at lightning speed and superhero efficiency. Moving seamlessly between UI/UX tasks and graphic design, when not at work, Wiktoria is addicted to reading and watching films – she’s currently attempting to beat the world record for the most-watched movies – how does she do it?!

Sonia
Sonia
Graphic Designer

Sonia is an Art Lover. As a graphic designer, she loves to work in many fields, from UI prototyping to motion picture. Always ensuring she makes things both useful and beautiful, Sonia spends her spare time scouring the internet to get inspiration for collages and DIY ideas.

Marcin
Marcin
Website Developer

A Full Stack Developer, Marcin is the guy we can always count on, no matter the task. A problem-solver specialising in web technologies, he’s our resident wizard and all-around superstar. Professionally, Marcin can be relied upon to create something from nothing; privately, he is a self-confessed AFOL (lego fan to us mere mortals!) and an avid gamer.

Kirsty
Kirsty
Head of Operations

Gatekeeper of calendars, organiser of events, Queen of logistics and protector of team wellbeing; Kirsty is our Head of Operations. While her role is all-encompassing, her life outside of work is a little less fraught. She is happiest in dungarees growing vegetables, walking her spaniel or drilling holes in walls.

Jason
Jason
Software Architect

Jason is our genius Software Architect, problem solver and designer. One of the more ‘experienced’ members of our team, back in the day, Jason remembers his generation writing games in 1KB. Don’t be fooled by his wise aura; Jason is young at heart and loves wrestling and Sci-Fi. While Jason physically lives on a desert island, spiritually speaking, Jason likes to say he resides in 5th density.

Ela
Ela
Accountant

Working in our Accounts department, Ela is our no.1 – she crunches the numbers, keeps us afloat and makes us all super happy at the end of every month. We’d be lost without Ela’s analytical skills and keen eye for detail. Outside of work, she likes spending time with her family, walking, gardening or reading a good book.

Adam
Adam
Copywriter

Adam is known as Locket’s Captain – mainly because he works remotely from his yacht in the Mediterranean. Our in-house tech blogger, he rejected a parrot in favour of a stray cat called Tiny, and is the third founding member of Neos to regroup to Locket’s motley crew. He has grown multiple brands from whiteboard to successful enterprise and helped to raise nearly £15m for IoT start-ups.

Eugene
Eugene
Front-end developer

One of our Senior Developers, and the newest member of our team, Eugene, has a fighting spirit that we love. Taking an active interest in travel, you’ll often find him up a mountain or on the ski slopes. Our resident footballer and Thai boxer, we can trust Eugene to think on his feet, never admit defeat and keep going until Locket is the reigning champion of home insurance.

Wiktor

A gamer turned researcher turned developer, Wiktor has a PhD in theoretical computer science and a passion for functional programming. An avid fan of aviation and history, Wiktor spends most of his evenings in a self-built cockpit flying over a virtual 1918 Somme with an international group of fellow virtual pilots. But – his real mission in life – is to show his daughter how to enjoy the world around her.

What Hermione is to Hogwarts, Alexandra is to Locket. Alex started her engineering career creating her version of potions in React; she’s now working her magic in Elixir – deciphering hexes and charms in the backend and frontend, ensuring it’s a visual masterpiece. Outside of work, Alexandra displays her creative flair in pencil drawing and reading. Her hobbies include binge-watching movies and anime and playing video games.

James
James
Data Administrator

Organisation and productivity nerd, D&D fanatic and ex-mixologist, James is a wonder.  Having overseen the creation of a board game store, invested in crypto and learnt Swedish in just 3 months, James went on to study Forensic Biology, working on skin cancer research.

James is the conduit between Senior Management and the engineering team, covering data analysis, administration and QA. He’s our James of all trades!

Helen
Helen
Head of MX

Helen classes herself as an administrative bore who idolises a life run off a spreadsheet. In reality, she’s a kickass musical theatre singer with her own YouTube channel and recording studio. When not trying to solve productivity issues, she coaches jump rope, roller skates, climbs, skis and gets lost in countries where she doesn’t speak the language.
