Insure the real. Protect the ideal.

Insurers treat the world as replaceable, everything has a price. When “bad things” happen, a payout fixes it.

What’s worth a lot to you is usually priceless. Your dad’s old records. Your wedding photos. Even that Lego Millennium Falcon you put your heart and soul into. They add up to what makes you, you.

Of course we’ll still pay your claim (and quickly!) to help you with repairs or replacements. But wouldn’t it be better if you never had to claim in the first place?

It’s time we change the odds rather than leave our life’s worth to chance.

We empower our members to use tech to danger-proof the everyday, giving them insurance for things worth money, and assurance for things worth way more.

Let’s face it, we’re an anomaly. We actively change the risk of harm, rather than price for it.

Partly because it can be done, but mostly because we believe it should be done.

“Did you know the first home insurers owned and operated the first professional fire brigades? They would literally come to your house and put the fire out. Now imagine that with cutting-edge smart technology.”

CEO, Krystian Zajac

Our team

Meet the genuine, carbon-based humans that make Locket great.

Krystian
Krystian
CEO & Co-Founder

Krystian started his ventures from his dining room table, assisted by his then 5-year-old son, Kamil. He eventually went on to co-found award-winning insurtech, Neos. Arriving from Poland at the young age of 24, Krystian started his career in the UK as a dishwasher at LaGaffe (www.lagaffe.co.uk). This is probably the reason why the thing he finds most relaxing is… washing dishes.

Tim
Tim
Chief Financial Officer

Our in-house 007, Tim, knows that the meaning of life, the universe and everything in-between is 42. As Head of Finance, Tim is our numbers guy. While that might not sound like the most glamorous of roles, Tim works remotely from Italy, spends his time climbing mountains, and is always game for a new adventure. Who knew finance could be so cool!

Anwar
Anwar
Chief Insurance Officer

Chief Insurance Officer and all-around legend, Anwar is simply known to us as “The Man”. With over 20 years of industry experience, working for some of the largest insurance companies in the world, it’s no surprise Anwar was named one of the Top 100 Asian Stars in the UK.

As our Head of Software and System Architect, Andrii doesn’t need gelled back hair and a leather trench coat to be impressive.

Wiktoria is always on hand to make the impossible – possible. Of course, she also makes this look really easy and does it at lightning speed and superhero efficiency. Moving seamlessly between UI/UX tasks and graphic design, when not at work, Wiktoria is addicted to reading and watching films – she’s currently attempting to beat the world record for the most-watched movies – how does she do it?!

Sonia

Marcin
Marcin

A Full Stack Developer, Marcin is the guy we can always count on, no matter the task. A problem-solver specialising in web technologies, he’s our resident wizard and all-around superstar. Professionally, Marcin can be relied upon to create something from nothing; privately, he is a self-confessed AFOL (lego fan to us mere mortals!) and an avid gamer.

Kirsty
Kirsty
Head of Operations

Gatekeeper of calendars, organiser of events, lover of Christmas and protector of team wellbeing; Kirsty is our resident adult. Her job encompasses so many roles we’ve given up trying to allocate a title (though she would like to be known as the Locket Elf). When not at work, she is happiest in dungarees growing vegetables, walking her spaniel or doing DIY.

Jason
Jason
Software Architect

Jason is our genius Software Architect, problem solver and designer. One of the more ‘experienced’ members of our team, back in the day, Jason remembers his generation writing games in 1KB. Don’t be fooled by his wise aura; Jason is young at heart and loves wrestling and Sci-Fi. While Jason physically lives on a desert island, spiritually speaking, Jason likes to say he resides in 5th density.

Ela
Ela
Accountant

Working in our Accounts department, Ela is our no.1 – she crunches the numbers, keeps us afloat and makes us all super happy at the end of every month. We’d be lost without Ela’s analytical skills and keen eye for detail. Outside of work, she likes spending time with her family, walking, gardening or reading a good book.

Adam
Adam

Adam is known as Locket’s Captain – mainly because he works remotely from his yacht in the Mediterranean. Our in-house tech blogger, he rejected a parrot in favour of a stray cat called Tiny, and is the third founding member of Neos to regroup to Locket’s motley crew. He has grown multiple brands from whiteboard to successful enterprise and helped to raise nearly £15m for IoT start-ups.

SOCIALLY RESPONSIBLE.

When you protect your home with Locket, you help to improve the world for others too. We donate a portion of all our revenue to good causes:

Homelessness
Homelessness

We believe everyone deserves a roof over their head.

Locket supports Crisis UK in their mission to end homelessness for good.

Our team wear wristbands from togetherband for goal 1.

Water
Water

Lack of access to clean water kills more people than all forms of violence combined. Locket supports WaterAid in their mission to provide clean water for all.

Our team wear wristbands from togetherband for goal 6.

Mental health
Mental health

Mental health is often overlooked in the wake of an incident like a burglary. But after the locks are fixed and the insurance claims settled, many people suffer lasting psychological problems like depression, anxiety and PTSD. Locket helps to fund Victim Support UK, a charity dedicated to supporting the victims of crime.

Our team wear wristbands from togetherband for goal 3.

We’re planet positive.

We work with Pachama to offset all of our carbon emissions (and then some).

For every four tonnes of carbon created by our business, we save five – by helping to fund reforestation and forest protection schemes.

Talk to us.

We welcome all comments, questions, suggestions, ruminations and riddles. We’re trying to reshape insurance for good, and we can’t do that in a vacuum.
