Don’t call us just yet.
The first thing you should do is try to minimise the damage.
Do you need to turn off the water? What about shutting off the power?
Evacuate the building if you need to.
Call people who are in a position to help – the emergency services, a locksmith, your parents.
Making a claim?
We can’t stress this enough, make sure you and your family are safe and that you’ve limited the damage as far as possible.
Once everything’s safe, make a cuppa, grab your policy reference and start your claim.
